Mark has tried numerous cases in Amarillo, Lubbock, and all over the Texas Panhandle. He has worked on both sides of the docket. His work was primarily on the civil defense side until 2015, when he began handling cases almost exclusively on the plaintiff side of the docket. As a partner in Packard, Hood & Johnson, he defended and prosecuted numerous estate litigation and will contest matters. His litigation experience is invaluable as a mediator, arbitrator, and umpire. Due to the fact he has worked on both sides of the docket, he has tremendous insight on the pressure points and issues facing all the parties.

Mark Packard has also served as an umpire in insurance appraisals involving disputed property losses. His experience has primarily involved the cost of replacement and repair of roofing systems and internal and external damages to property after storm-related events. Mark has served as an Umpire in cases involving multiple commercial buildings and other complex property losses, such as fire damage to a cotton gin.
